Just in from a week on the road with IDA
May 1, 2014
Just in from a week on the road and another successful show for the International Door Association. If you’ve been keeping up with some of our recent blogs, you know that IDA’s annual convention was held this year at the Las Vegas Convention Center and hosted by the fabulous Paris Hotel. And yes, that’s why we’ve recently shot in Paris, Kentucky and Paris, France (check out our Photo Page).
Getting ready for the IDA EXPO is always a sprint, there’s lots to do… developing concepts, shooting videos, preparing graphics, building stages, and then finally managing/supporting the show on site. It takes many months just to get everything produced, and then many more hours during EXPO (up to 18 hours a day) to make sure that the show goes off as planned. By the time it’s over, I’m typically exhausted, as is MCOMM’s entire crew. Thanks to my partners in crime, Jeff Friend of Forward Media Group, photographers Lee Ann Yahle and Jay Herndon, MCOMM’s own Eric Monell, Trent Brown and Chris Cutler of Creative Technology, and to countless Vegas stagehands for making it all happen. I hope you’re all catching up on your sleep this week.
Of course we can’t chill for too long, there are many more exciting projects that need our attention. In the coming weeks we’ll be shooting several commercials, putting together concepts for an automotive suspension system promotional video, revising yet another training series… and much, much more. Can’t wait to get started!
I’ll be sure to keep you posted, and please don’t hesitate to give us a call or email if we can be of assistance with your next project.
Until next time.
