Hectic is good
April 8, 2014
Happy to say that things are a bit hectic here at MCOMM studios.
Hectic is good.
We’re putting the finishing touches on the media we’ve been creating for the International Door Association’s annual convention (held this year in Las Vegas) and also just wrapped a collaborative shoot with the creative guys from Simplifilm.
Simplifilm is known for their animated book trailers (the most recent is a cool promo for Ariana Huffington’s “Thrive”), and now they’re looking to add video to their bag of tricks. That’s where we come in. This weekend was the first of what I hope will be a long-term partnership, and required that we turn the studio into a MMA wrestling ring. That meant lots of mats, plenty of fog, a fair amount of fake blood, and two affable MMA heavyweights – Joey and Anthony – thanks guys. A great experience, and Simplifilm walked away with some dynamic footage. Excellent.
Next up, more location shooting with possible visits to Hawaii and Spain. I’ve never been to Hawaii or Spain, so hey, keeping my fingers crossed.
But first there’s a production to focus on in Vegas that includes constructing an elaborate stage at the Paris Hotel, and timelapse photography at the LVCC. I’ll be sure to let you know how it goes.
Until next time.
